Recreation and Activities
For those folks who enjoy being active, there's plenty to do at LARC. Our fulltime Activities' Director oversees and coordinates all activities and trips, along with a lot of help from caring staff and volunteers.

Bingo
Bingo games are in session every month. We have all the equipment and the space needed to provide a great time for all involved.

Karaoke
LARC entertains monthly karaoke get-togethers in our comfortable multi-purpose room.

Swimming
LARC offers an Olympic sized heated swimming pool and staff certified in swimming safety to supervise the fun.

Sports, Indoors
We have a full-sized indoor gymnasium, complete with basketball hoops and volleyball nets. Our energetic activities director gets everyone with the desire involved.

Sports, Outdoors
Bocce ball (lawn bowling) is the most popular pastime for LARC's outdoors enthusiasts. A softball and soccer field is currently in the planning stages.

Community Outings
Every week, LARC people go into the community to go shopping, dine out, go bowling, or take in a movie.

Travel
LARC residents have traveled far and wide in our travel club. Our travel club has been in operation for over a decade. Among its many past destinations have been Europe, Hawaii, and Mexico. Many shorter trips are planned as well, including Yosemite National Park, Las Vegas, Ventura, and Laughlin.

Special Olympics

A special note about LARC's affiliation with Special Olympics programs: Many of our people participate in Special Olympics sports, such as floor hockey, basketball, track, and swimming. LARC's sports facilities are used extensively by Special Olympics participants for practice sessions and training. LARC has a special relationship with the Santa Clarita Valley Special Olympics. We believe strongly that an active lifestyle leads to a healthier life, both mentally and physically.
