LARC RANCH - INCREDIBLE IN ALL SEASONS

Summer, fall, winter, spring, LARC Ranch is incredible in all seasons. Year round, I have the pleasure of touring potential residential candidates, families, friends and visitors around the ranch. They are constantly amazed and in awe of the serenity and beauty of the LARC community.
I generally drive them around the upper ranch, explaining that LARC Ranch is its own water agency, showing them the amphitheater, beautiful Clare Cummings Park, the picnic area, the indoor Stanton Swimming Pool and the Hoffman/Feld Auditorium. Next I take them past the original ranch house and tour the ADC (Adult Development Center) Day program with its classrooms and the George and Nadine Acker Sports Complex indoor gymnasium.
We drive down by the creek and up into the LARC Villa Community. This is their first view of the homes and the community in its entirety. It makes quite an impression, even more so when I take them into the Villas. They see the cleanliness, the beauty and style of the common rooms, and the individuality of the residents' bedrooms. The final stop is the multipurpose room and LARC’s distribution kitchen and storage area.
All are very impressed. There is a special feeling here of tranquility and the knowledge that the resident and clients are as well cared for as the beautiful setting they are in.
This year was our LARC Housing's, Apple St. home 10th Anniversary. Although the day was very warm, the residents, staff and the home were a testament to the board members and administration that brought Apple St. Home into the LARC Family. Apple St. home was the example that showed us that LARC Ranch would be successful in its conversion from a dorm style residential living to the thirteen homes that exist today.
LARC's two-day programs, LARC Industries and the ADC Program, continue to grow due to the growth in population in the Santa Clarita Valley. LARC continues to prepare for a third day program to accommodate the need for more day program services. LARC Ranch is the largest program providing both residential and day program services to the Santa Clarita Valley.
